Squad loves working with the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust and this sparkly cold winter day was no exception. Despite the chilly temperatures many families gathered happily to chat, pot-up plants, push carts and slide on frozen puddles. The bare root native mock orange / Philadelphus lewisii we potted needs to grow for two years in the nursery before they can be planted in the Greenway's astounding 1.5 million acres.
Stewardship is a lovely way to begin the new year- we look forward to serving the greater good outside together!
PS. MTSGT just informed me that after five volunteer events you receive a T-shirt! I've asked them to check their records for Squad participants. Many of you have done several work/swims at Luther Burbank, parks and in the nursery- message me if you think you've done five, we'll see them again in Feb.
